Panel Discussion: Highlighting 3 Publishing Paths and 3 Genres
This panel discussion and Q&A will feature three Filipino American authors, one of whom is also a publisher. They will focus on three major publishing paths and three genres. The panelists’ books will be available for purchase and there will be a book signing.
Panelists:
Cindy Fazzi, author of the thriller Multo, will discuss key aspects of traditional publishing, with emphasis on the thriller genre.
Beverly Parayno, author of the short-story collection Wildflowers, will talk about publishing with a nonprofit organization such as the Philippine American Writers and Artists (PAWA), with emphasis on literary fiction.
Justine Villanueva, author and Sawaga River Press publisher, will explain what community-based publishing means, with emphasis on children’s books.
